STORE MANAGER - Village Commons Shopping Center Location

{Retail Management Experience Required}

The Store Manager provides leadership and direction to the entire store team. The SM oversees all aspects of store performance through sales management, operational and personnel functions, as well as store visual aesthetics and environment. Through creating long-term strategies and leading company initiatives, the SM ensures maximum productivity, profitability, operational excellence and compliance with company procedures. The SM must exude the excitement, professional presence and confidence needed to protect and drive brand integrity. Must be passionate about FSU and the Seminoles.

 

Store Manager Job Duties:

 

  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, initiating corrective actions and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and; maintaining inventories.
  • Reviews merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; recommending clearance sales; studying trends.
  • Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans and making recommendations to management.
  • Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge; Keeping abreast of the industry reviewing professional publications.
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Completes other duties as assigned
